Marzik, St. Laurent Lead Hawks at Pop Crowell

Wenham, Mass. (October 3) -- Led by top-15 finishes by Jessica Marzik (Shelton, Conn.) and Jessica St. Laurent (Huntington, Miss.), the Saint Anselm women's cross country team placed seventh out of 27 teams with 190 points at the Pop Crowell Invitational on Saturday morning.
Marzik placed 12th in a time of 19:55, followed by St. Laurent in 15th at 20:01. Bianca Ciuffredo (Worcester, Mass.) slipped into the top 30 in 28th place in a time of 20:28 as well. Senior Karen Clark (Hubbardston, Mass.) and junior Kathleen D'Orso (Orange, Conn.) finished 72nd and 79th, respectively, to close out the scoring. Clark finished in 21:40, while D'Orso crossed the line in 21:48.
The Hawks are back in action on Saturday, October 10th as the team travels to Franklin Park in Boston, Mass., for the New England Championship. The women's race begins at Noon.
