St. Laurent Leads Hawks at UMD Invitational

North Dartmouth, Mass. (September 19) -- Jessica St. Laurent (Huntington, Miss.) finished in 88th place on Saturday as the Hawks came away with a 19th-place showing out of 42 teams at the UMass Dartmouth Shriners Cross Country Invitational.

St. Laurent covered the 3.1 mile course in a time of 20:17, a pace of 6:32 per mile. Close behind was classmate Jessica Marzik (Shelton, Conn.), who was 107th in a time of 20:34. Sophomore Bianca Ciuffredo (Worcester, Mass.) finished 115th in a time of 20:39, followed by sophomore Kristen Raymond (Lincoln, R.I.) in 169th with a time of 21:28. Senior Karen Clark (Hubbardston, Mass.) closed out the scoring in 175th place with a time of 21:35.

Saint Anselm returns to action next Saturday as the team travels to the Connecticut College Invitational. The women's race is slated for an 11 a.m. start.
