Hawks Place Seventh at NCAA East Regional

Boston, Mass. (November 10) -- On Sunday afternoon , the Saint Anselm women's cross country team placed seventh out of the 23 teams that scored at the NCAA East Regional and fifth among Northeast-10 teams at the event. The Hawks were led by by a 32nd-place finish by sophomore Jennifer Mulcahy (Cranston, R.I.) as she covered the course in 24:29.9.
Following just four seconds behind Mulcahy was senior Stacy Cohen (Amity Harbor, N.Y.) at 34th in a time of 24:33.9, a 7:00 minute per mile pace. Senior Alanna White (McLean, Va.) placed 51st in a time of 24:56, followed by sophomore Kathryn Ligato (Haverhill, Mass.) in 56th at 25:07 and Jessica Marzik (Shelton, Conn.) in 60th in a time of 25:11 to round out the scoring. All five scoring runners finished within 42 seconds of each other.
In addition, the Hawks finish the season ranked seventh in the final NCAA East Region rankings, matching their highest ranking of the season.
