Hawks Finish Fifth at Pop Crowell Invitational

Wenham, Mass. (October 5) -- Led by an 18th-place finish by Jessica Marzik (Shelton, Conn.), the Saint Anselm women's cross country team placed fifth out of 25 teams at the Pop Crowell Cross Country Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks finished with a total of 162 points.
Marzik completed the course in a time of 20:02 and was the second Northeast-10 Conference finisher at the meet. Senior Alanna White (McLean, Va.) was next for the Hawks in 27th place in a time of 20:27, followed by sophomore Jennifer Mulcahy (Cranston, R.I.) in 33rd place in 20:40. Senior Stacy Cohen (Amity Harbor, N.Y.) placed 39th in a time of 20:47, followed by sophomore Kathryn Ligato (Haverhill, Mass.) in 52nd place in 21:06 to close out the scoring.
Saint Anselm returns to action on Saturday, October 11th as the team travels to Franklin Park in Boston for the New England Invitational.
