White, Hawks Place Third at Shacklette

Manchester, N.H. (September 13) -- At the 27th Annual Shacklette Invitational on Saturday morning, the Saint Anselm women's cross country team placed third with a total of 74 points. Leading the way for the Hawks was senior Alanna White (McLean, Va.) in a time of 20:52. The College of Saint Rose, led by a fourth-place showing by Melissa Bredice, took the meet with a total of 41 points as the Golden Knights placed four runners in the top-10.
Finishing second for the Hawks and 11th overall was junior Jessica Marzik (Shelton, Conn.), who was the early leader and finished in a time of 21:13. Sophomore Jennifer Mulcahy (Cranston, R.I.) finished in 13th with a time of 21:19, followed by senior Stacy Cohen (Amity Harbor, N.Y.) in 19th in a time of 21:46. Closing out the scoring for the Hawks was senior Aimee Stakus (Mendon, Mass.) in 23rd-place with a time of 22:01
