Kathryn Gaudreau enters her first season as the interim head coach for the Saint Anselm women's lacrosse program. She takes over the program for the 2010 season after serving as the team's assistant coach for the last two years. In addition to her lacrosse duties, she is also the head coach of the Saint Anselm field hockey team, where she recently completed her third season.
She was the assistant varsity lacrosse coach at St. Bernard's High School in Fitchburg, Mass., where she helped start the program. She was also the program's junior varsity coach in its first season.
Gaudreau came to Saint Anselm from St. Bernard's, where she has served as the varsity field hockey head coach since 2003. In addition to her highly successful field hockey teams, she also coached freshman basketball at St. Bernard's from 2004-2007.
In addition to her coaching success, Gaudreau also enjoyed tremendous success on the playing field. The all-time leading scorer in Saint Anselm history despite playing just two seasons, she is a former team captain for the Hawks and was a Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team selection in 2001 and the recipient of the team's Coach's Award.
A 2003 graduate of Saint Anselm with a bachelor of arts degree in history, Gaudreau went on to earn her master's of arts degree in American history from Providence College in 2005.
Gaudreau resides in Goffstown,
N.H., with her husband, Steve, and their son, Paul. Steve is the
Saint Anselm men's lacrosse head coach.
