Howard Earns Second NE-10 Freshman Award

Easton, Mass. (December 8) -- Saint Anselm freshman forward Megan Howard (Saint Paul, Minn.) has been named as the Northeast-10 Conference Freshman of the Week for her play during the week ending December 7th. This is the second time Howard has been honored by the league with the award this season.
Howard posted a pair of double-doubles in a 1-1 week for the Hawks and averaged 19 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. She had a 17-point, 10-rebound, two-block showing versus UMass Lowell and capped the week with a career-high 24 points and 13 rebounds in a win at Southern Connecticut. She was 7-for-10 from the field against UML and 11-for-17 at Southern Connecticut as she shot 66.7 percent from the field for the week.
In addition to Howard, junior forward Courtney May (Lakeville, Mass.) also earned a spot on the Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll after averaging a double-double last week and posting career highs in both points and rebounds.
The Hawks are back in action on Tuesday night as the team travels to Post University for a 7 p.m. non-conference contest.
