Hawks Finish 10th at Pop Crowell Invitational

Wenham, Mass. (October 3) -- Led by a 27th-place finish by Christopher Powers (Haverhill, Mass.) in a time of 28:22, the Saint Anselm men's cross country team placed 10th at the Pop Crowell Invitational on a rainy Saturday morning.

Following Powers was teammate Drew Matthews (Madison, Conn.) in 28th place in a time of 28:30. Nick Provost (Keene, N.H.) came in 71st in a time of 29:58, followed by John Surabian (Saugus, Mass.) in 99th in a time of 31:17. Closing out the scoring was Joshua Reali (Cumberland, Maine) in 110th place, finishing in 31:39. The Hawks finished tied for 10th with Lasell College with a total of 302 points.

Saint Anselm is back in action next weekend as the team travels to Franklin Park in Boston, Mass., for the New England Championship. The men's race begins at 1 p.m.
