Howe, Searson Earn Third Team All-NE-10 Honors

November 2, 2009

Easton, Mass. (November 2) -- Saint Anselm sophomore Keesen Howe (Norwich, Conn.) and senior Michael Searson (Avon, Conn.) have each been named to the Northeast-10 Men's Soccer All-Conference Third, as voted by the league's head coaches.

Howe earns All-Conference honors after being named to the Northeast-10 All-Rookie Team as a freshman. Howe leads the team with four goals and 11 points and is second with three assists while starting all 18 games.

Searson helps anchor a defense that has allowed just 1.37 goals per game this season and is coming off a 1-0 shutout of nationally-ranked and top-seeded Southern New Hampshire to advance to the Northeast-10 Tournament semifinals for the first time since 2003. The Hawks' defense has helped the team to a 7-2-2 record over the last 11 games, has posted three shutouts and has allowed just 10 goals in those 11 games.

Saint Anselm returns to action in the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament on Wednesday afternoon as the team travels to Southern Connecticut for a 4 p.m. start at Jess Dow Field.
