Pelucacci Leads Hawks to Fifth-Place Finish

Pinkham Notch, N.H. (February 8) -- Junior Matt Pelucacci (Gouldsboro, Pa.) finished a season-best 14th in the Slalom competition at the BC/Brown Carnival on Saturday afternoon at Wildcat Mountain. The team finished fifth out of nine teams, matching the team's best finish of the season.
Pelucacci, who was 11th after the first run, finished in a combined time of 1:29.38, .44 seconds out of the top 10. Sam Piper (Dalton, Mass.) came away with a 25th-place finished in a time of 1:33.22, followed by Andrew Ross (Wilbraham, Mass.) in 28th at 1:35.81. John Suglia (Andover, Mass.) finished in 34th place, followed by senior Mike Wilbur (Manchester, N.H.) in 35th. Wilbur completed his final collegiate race in a combined time of 1:44.12.
The Hawks completed the season under first-year head coach Melissa Caflisch.
