Hawks, Seney Earn NE-10 Honors

South Easton, Mass. (February 27)--The Northeast-10 Conference honored four members of the Saint Anselm College men's ice hockey program when the league announced its All-Conference Teams on Friday afternoon. Three Hawks were named to the All-Conference Teams, while head coach Ed Seney was named as the league's Coach of the Year after posting a 5-0 league record.

Receiving the lone All-Conference First Team selection for the Hawks was senior defenseman Mike Nunzianto (Guilford, Conn.). Nunzianto has 19 points on 12 assists and seven goals to tie for the league lead in scoring defenseman. In his Hawk career, he has compiled 52 points on 16 goals and 36 assists in 95 career games.

Saint Anselm sophomores Coleman Noonan (Norfolk, Mass.) and Nick Wheeler (Nashua, N.H.) were named to the All-Conference Second Team for their efforts this season. Noonan leads the Hawks in points this season with 23 points on 10 goals and 13 assists. Wheeler led the team in power-play goals with six and had 17 points on nine goals and eight assists.

The Hawks return to action, Wednesday, March 4th, as they will host the lowest remaining seed in the Northeast-10 tournament at Sullivan Arena beginning at 7 p.m.
