Hawks in Top 20 After Round One at NEIGA

The Saint Anselm men's golf team teed off this morning for the first round of the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championships.  After the first 18 holes, the Hawks are tied for 19th place out of 39 participating teams with a combined score of 323.  They are 32 strokes off Dartmouth College, who leads the tournament with a 291.

Freshmen Tyler Fay (Barrington, R.I.) and Emelio Bardini (Salem, Mass.) lead the Hawks, sitting in 56th place out of 194 participants, with a 79.  Senior James Henebry (Hampton Falls, N.H.) is just one stroke behind them, sitting in 71st, after shooting an 80 in the first round.  Junior Dylan McSparren (Portsmouth, R.I.) and freshman Brian Foley (Worcester, Mass.), the final two Hawk golfers, both sit in 125th, shooting an 85 on the day.
