Hawks Finish Third at Trinity College Shoot-Out
October 12, 2009MANCHESTER, N.H. — The Saint Anselm golf team traveled to Hebron, Conn. this weekend to participate in the Trinity College Shoot-Out at the Shuttle Meadow Country Club, The Hawks finished in third place overall with a 633 after two rounds. James Henebry (Hampton Falls, N.H.) and Brian Foley (Worcester, Mass.) both finished in the Top 10.
The Hawks improved three strokes between rounds, shooting a 318 on Saturday and a 315 on Sunday. The team finished 43 strokes behind the host-team Trinity College, who won the tournament with a 590. Senior James Henebry led the team with a 154 (78, 76), placing sixth overall. Freshman Brian Foley, who was tied with Henebry after day one, finished one stroke behind him in eighth place with a 155 (78, 77). Freshman Emilio Bardini (Salem, Mass.), who led the Hawks after round one with a 77, finished in ninth place with a 156 (77, 79). Junior Dylan McSparren (Portsmouth, R.I.) rounded out the Hawks' team score with a 168 (85, 83), finishing in 23rd. Junior Donald Norris (Gloucester, R.I.) was the final Saint Anselm participant. He shot a 179 (91, 88) and finished in 30th overall.
The Hawks return to action next Sunday, October 18th as they travel to Marshfield, Mass. for a dual-match at Holy Cross.
