Hawks Finish in Ninth Place at Dartmouth Invitational
September 27, 2009Hanover, N.H. (September 27) -- On Sunday, the Saint Anselm men's golf team improved by five strokes and jumped up one spot as the Hawks placed ninth at the Dartmouth College Invitational. The Hawks outdistanced Northeast-10 rival Southern New Hampshire by nine strokes.
Leading the way for the Hawks was freshman Brian Foley (Worcester, Mass.), who finished in a tie for 27th place. Foley shot a 78 in round one before firing a second-round 73 for a two-round total of 151. Classmate Tyler Fay (Barrington, R.I.) finished two shots behind Foley with a two-round total of 153, shooting a second-round 79. Senior Jim Henebry (Hampton Falls, N.H.) was in a tie for 45th, improving seven strokes from his first round for a second-round 75 and a two-round totla of 157. Freshman Emilio Bardini (Salem, Mass.) was tied for 57th place in 163, followed by Dylan McSparren (Portsmouth, R.I.) tied for 63rd with a total of 167.
The Saint Anselm golf team is back in action on October 3rd and 4th as the Hawks travel to Crumpin Fox Golf Club for the Northeast-10 Conference Championship.
