Luptowski Named as Union Leader Athlete of Month

Manchester, N.H. (January 24) -- Saint Anselm men's basketball sophomore guard Pat Luptowski (Keene, N.H.) was honored by the Union Leader as their Athlete of the Month for the month of December. Luptowski is in his first year as a member of the Saint Anselm men's basketball program after transferring to the Hilltop from Adelphi University.
Luptowski, the leading three-point shooter in the Northeast-10 Conference, averaged 17 points and three rebounds in four games in December. He shot 51.3 percent from three-point land and 48.9 percent overall from the field. Luptowski had a pair of 21-point efforts during the month, and knocked down a career-high seven three-pointers twice. Included in that was a 7-for-7 performance in the second half in a win over Holy Family on December 30th.
The Union Leader will be recognizing the Athletes of the Month in a banquet on Sunday, January 25th. Saint Anselm is back in action that afternoon as the team hosts the University of Bridgeport in a 3:30 p.m. start at Stoutenburgh Gym. The Hawks are 7-2 at home this season.
