Kathryn Gaudreau enters her third season as the head coach of the Saint Anselm field hockey program.

The Hawks are coming off a 6-12 season in 2008 where they narrowly missed out on a Northeast-10 Tournament playoff berth. In 2007, she guided the team to a school-record nine-win season and its first-ever berth in the Northeast-10 Tournament semifinals.

Gaudreau came to Saint Anselm from St. Bernard's High School in Fitchburg, Mass., where she has served as the varsity field hockey head coach since 2003. In addition to her highly successful field hockey teams, she also coached freshman basketball at St. Bernard's from 2004-2007.

In addition to her coaching success, Gaudreau also enjoyed tremendous success on the playing field. The all-time leading scorer in Saint Anselm history despite playing just two seasons, she is a former team captain for the Hawks and was a Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team selection in 2001 and the recipient of the team's Coach's Award.

A 2003 graduate of Saint Anselm with a bachelor of arts degree in history, Gaudreau went on to earn her master's of arts degree in American history from Providence College in 2005.

In addition to her field hockey duties, Gaudreau is also an assistant women's lacrosse coach at Saint Anselm.

Gaudreau resides in Goffstown, N.H., with her husband, Steve, and their son, Paul. Steve is the Saint Anselm men's lacrosse head coach.
