Ted Florio returns for his second season as an assistant coach for the Saint Anselm football program this season. He serves as the program's recruiting coordinator, as well as the defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator.  

Florio returns to the Hilltop after playing for the Hawks from 2000-2003 and was most recently an assistant coach at SUNY Maritime in Throgs Neck, N.Y. At Maritime, he was the defensive backfield coach and the program's video coordinator. He helped recruit throughout the New York Catholic League, Nassau and Suffolk County, as well as Florida and Texas.

Prior to Maritime, Florio was a varsity assistant coach at Cardinal Hayes High School (N.Y.), where has was the defensive backfield and wide receivers coach. He was also the program's strength and conditioning coach and a freshman English teacher at the school. In addition to his football experience, Florio was also a member of the United States Army from 2004-2006, serving as a cannoneer at Fort Hood, Texas. Florio's camp experience includes working at the University of Buffalo Football Camp, the Jay Fiedler Football Camp and the Bronx/Queens HSPD Football Camp, all in 2007. He was also an assistant coach at the NYCHSFL City All-Star Game and as a player at Chaminade High School (N.Y.), participated in the All-League Senior Bowl.

Florio graduated from Saint Anselm in 2004 with a bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice.
