Glasser, Sims Named to Athletic Department Staff

Manchester, N.H. -- Marla Glasser has been named as the sports information intern for the 2009-2010 academic year at Saint Anselm. In addition, Jennifer Sims has been named as assistant athletic trainer. Both will begin their duties in August.
Glasser comes to Saint Anselm after working as a student intern at Cornell University from 2007-2009. At Cornell, Glasser's responsibilities included recording statistics using StatCrew and filming games for online video streaming and highlight videos. She worked with a variety of sports including football, basketball, baseball, field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse volleyball and soccer. In addition to Cornell, Glasser has also worked as a Game Day Operator at Philadelphia Phillies home games since 2007 and worked as an operations intern for Comcast SportsNet in the summer of 2008.
Glasser graduated from Cornell in May 2009 with a degree in psychology, as well as a minor in information science and concentrations in French and music. She was a Dean's List student every semester, a National Merit Scholar and a Pauline and Irving Tanner Dean's Scholar.
Sims comes to the Hilltop after earning her Master's degree in Athletic Training at the University of Virginia in 2009. At Virginia, Sims worked specifically with the women's volleyball team, serving as their primary ATC for in-season and out-of-season activities. In addition to her work with the volleyball program, Sims also taught anatomy, assessment and rehabilitation to undergraduate students as part of her coursework.
Sims completed her undergraduate coursework at Albion College, where she graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in athletic training in 2008, graduating cum laude with departmental honors. While at Albion, Sims worked with the men's soccer, men's and women's track and field, football, women's basketball and baseball teams. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, the Virginia Athletic Trainers Association and is a Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certified Instructor.
